PlantMate — Full-Stack Garden Planning Application

🌱 PlantMate is a full-stack garden planning and plant management application that I took from an initial product idea through architecture, implementation, testing, and production deployment.
The frontend is built with Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, while the backend uses Laravel 12 with a REST API and SQLite for the public demo environment.
The application includes garden and zone management, seasonal plantings, reminders and notes, a curated plant library, companion planting information, localization, weather integration, and a read-only demo experience.
I owned the product structure, UI/UX, frontend and backend implementation, database design, localization, QA, and production deployment. Development also incorporated domain feedback and real-user testing with an experienced gardener, helping validate workflows against actual gardening use cases.
I deployed the production environment on Linux and configured Nginx, PHP-FPM, systemd services, DNS, HTTPS, firewall rules, application environments, and the production database.
PlantMate is now live and publicly available. The source repository is private and can be made available for technical review on request.
